Ushuru, Vihiga United and Nairobi Stima, tied at 21 points and only separated by goal difference, will be looking to pile pressure on league leaders Wazito when match-week 12 of the FKF National Super League kicks off on Saturday 06 May 2017
First on the cards will be a match pitting Nairobi City Stars and St Joseph Youth at the Camp Toyoyo grounds at 9 am. City Stars were held to a 2-2 draw by Palos last time out and will be hoping to bounce back. St Joseph Youth’s poor run of form has seen the Nakuru-based side slip to 18th on the log, having lost five games in a row
Two matches will be aired live on free to air channel Bamba Sports on Saturday 06 May at Camp Toyoyo. At 2 pm, struggling MOSCA will host a rejuvenated Isebania. MOSCA is 19th on the log with a paltry three points from ten outings. Isebania, on the other hand, has won two games in a row, beating GFE 105 2-1 at home before snatching a 0-1 win away to Agro Chemicals. Later on, at 1615hrs, Talanta will face off with Modern Coast Rangers. Both teams are tied at 14 points, only separated by goal difference. A win for Talanta will elevate them into the top ten.
Vihiga United will also be in action against Administration Police at the Mumias Sports Complex while Bidco United will be hosting third-placed Ushuru at the Thika sub-county Stadium. Vihiga United will be banking on home advantage to bag three points while Administration Police will be counting on striker Benjamin Kahindi to try snatch at least a point away from home.
Four matches will be played on Sunday 07 May, with a doubleheader at Camp Toyoyo being the highlight of the day. Kibera Black Stars will be hosting Agro Chemicals at 2 pm before league leaders Wazito faces off with Nakuru All Stars. Kibera Black Stars will be looking to shrug off a 3-0 loss to Ushuru in their last match while Agro Chemicals will also be hoping to bounce back from a 0-1 loss at home against Isibania. Meanwhile, Wazito will be looking to cement their place at the top of the table when they face Nakuru All Stars. Wazito has won seven, lost three and shared the spoils once in 11 outings so far.
In other matches set to be played on Sunday, Kenya Police will be hosting GFE 105 at the Afraha Stadium while Palos will face off with fifth-placed Nairobi Stima at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu. Both matches will kick off at 11 am. Palos forced Nairobi City Stars to a 2-2 draw in their last outing through a late header by Ben Baraza. Nairobi Stima meanwhile is on a four-match winning run that has seen the team rise to fifth on the log, only a point behind league leaders Wazito.
