Captain Victor Wanyama slotted in the lone goal as Kenya beat Madagascar 1-0 in a pre-AFCON international friendly match played on Friday, June 7, 2019, at the Stade Robert Bobin Stadium in Paris, France.

Harambee Stars had a first-half scare when Patrick Matasi infringed a Malagasy opponent in the box. He, however, stepped up to save the resultant spot kick, the first half ending 0-0.

Stars would get a penalty of their own in the second half, one captain Victor Wanyama stepped up to calmly slot in.

Kenya then held on for a morale-boosting win, as focus now shifts to the second friendly against the Democratic Republic of Congo on June 15, 2019, in Madrid.
