The national football team, Harambee Stars, will on Sunday, June 10, 2018, take on hosts India in the final of the 2018 Hero Intercontinental Cup.

The match comes after Stars overcame Chinese Taipei 4-0 on Friday, June 8, 2018, in their third match of the four-nation tourney at the Mumbai Football Arena.

Kenya consequently finished second with six points, similar to hosts India who, however, had a superior goal difference.

The final will be the second meeting between the two sides at the tourney, with the hosts having won the first encounter 3-0, courtesy of a brace by Sunil Chhetri and a goal by Jeje Lalpekhlua.

Coach Sebastien Migne will be hoping to guide his charges to a final win in his sixth match in charge.

The matches are aimed at gearing up for the upcoming AFCON Qualifiers against Ghana and Ethiopia in September.
