Newly appointed Harambee Stars coach Sébastien Migné will take charge of his first assignment when Kenya faces Swaziland in an International friendly match on Friday, May 25, 2018, at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

The coach has held three training sessions with all the local based players initially called up. He has since expressed his satisfaction with the team’s preparations.

“We have had adequate preparations for the match and I am confident we will get a positive result,” said coach Migné.

“These friendly matches are necessary for me to gauge the players ahead of the upcoming Intercontinental Cup, as well as the AFCON Qualifiers against Ghana and Ethiopia,” added the coach.

The coach has had at his disposal, 25 players in camp. Among them is Musa Mohammed, who captained Harambee Stars to a seventh CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup in December 2017.

“Morale is high. The players are psyched up. I urge fans to turn out in large numbers and support the team,” said Musa.

2018 Intercontinental Cup

Kenya is set to face Swaziland and Equatorial Guinea on Friday, May 25, and Monday, May 28, 2018, respectively.

Both matches will be played at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, with tickets set to retail at Ksh 100 (Terrace) and Ksh 300 (VIP).

The team will then travel to India to take part in the 2018 Intercontinental Cup where Stars will face hosts India, New Zealand, and Taiwan.
