The Kenya U23 national football team will grace the second round of the Africa U23 Cup of Nations Qualifiers, set to be played in March 2019.
This is following a 3-1 win over Mauritius in the second leg played on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at the the Anjalay Stadium in Belle Vue, Mauritius.
Pistone Mutamba, Ovella Ochieng and James Mazembe each scored a goal apiece, with the hosts notching a late consolation, to eventually see out an 8-1 win on aggregate over the Island nation.
Kenya had earlier on Wednesday secured a 5-0 cushion in the first leg played at the MISC Kasarani, courtesy of a goal apiece by Johnstone Omurwa, James Mazembe, Pistone Mutamba, Sydney Lokale and Joseph Okumu.
The Emerging Stars will thus face off with the winner of yet another qualifier pitting Sudan against Seychelles.
