After starting out in North West Rift branch and in Uasin Gishu sub-branch in North Rift Branch last week, Chapa Dimba na Safaricom is set to spread to two other branches; South and Central Rift this weekend.

At the same time, the tournament will continue in Uasin Gishu in eight new venues.

After the weekend at least 9 new teams will join Mwiruti Secondary, Hoffen Baach, Raiply, Greece FC, Uasin Gishu High, GFE 105, Kaptebee, Kipkechui and Tumaini FC in the second phase. They all qualified from games played when the tournament was activated last weekend.

Central Rift

Up to 42 games in Nakuru sub branch will usher in the games in Central Rift across 13 venues from Subukia to Molo on Saturday, December 15, and Sunday, December 16, 39 teams will be active including nine girls’ teams.

Nine other boys’ teams will contest the Samburu sub branch title on Monday, December 17, and Tuesday, December 18, 2018. The winner will accompany Mara Mixed girls teams for inter sub branch games later on.

South Rift

Up to 37 games in Bomet sub branch will take place in South Rift Branch. 37 teams including two girls’ teams will take part

North West Rift

North West Rift enters phase two where sub branch winners in West Pokot, Trans Nzoia East, Trans Nzoia West, Turkana and Kwanza will be identified.

National champs Kapenguria Heroes will be up against Lelan and Kamito Boys for the West Pokot title as Mapro 04 takes on Kakuma United for the Turkana crown. The winners will join Tar Tar girls and Kakuma Starlets as respective sub branch champions.

Goseta Boys and Kaptega will contest Kwanza boys title as Bwake, Iwa and Geta Young face off in Trans Nzoia East. Kwanza Queens and Wiyeta have already claimed the girls’ titles respectively.

Six teams; Transmillan, Elim FC, Kiungani, Kiminini FC, Makhanga Hope and Solidarity will be eyeing Trans Nzoia West title. Elim Ladies and Kitale Queens are up for the girls’ title.
