FC Talanta kicked off the year with a 2-1 win over Kenya Police in one of two FKF National Super League matches played on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Camp Toyoyo.

Administration Police had earlier in the early kickoff brushed aside Green Commandos 3-0.

Ushuru had earlier on Saturday maintained their place at the top following a 2-0 win over Thika United as the league got back underway.
