Ushuru came from a goal down to salvage a point in a 1-1 draw against visiting Kisumu All-Stars as round 13 of the FKF National Super League got underway on Friday, February 8, 2019.
Moses Odhiambo calmly headed in a Dennis Oalo freekick in the first half to put the guests in the front foot. Ushuru however, fought back and would settle for a point when Edwin Mwaura restored parity deep into second-half stoppage time.
The draw was the second time in a row the Taxmen have dropped points, but still top the 20-team league with 30 points, pending Wazito’s match against Fortune Sacco slated for Saturday.
Meanwhile at the Eldoret Showgrounds, visiting Modern Coast Rangers picked up their fourth win of the season when they narrowly edged out hosts Eldoret Youth 1-0. Jeffa Mweni scored the lone goal.
