The Kenya U17 National Team will be up against Tanzania in their third match of the Union of North African Federations (UNAF) U18 Tournament.
This follows unsuccessful outings in the Junior Stars’ first two matches of the five nation tournament. Kenya fell 1-0 to Egypt in the opening match before going down 5-1 to Algeria in the second match played on Wednesday.
“We conceded an early goal in our last match against Algeria which heavily distorted our game plan. We’re coming out all guns blazing this time round and I am confident we’ll get a positive result against Tanzania,” said Coach Michael Amenga ahead of the match.
The team has been boosted by the return of Abdulmalik Hussein, who picked a knock in the opening match against Egypt. Captain Arnold Onyango, who was doubtful for the match, has also passed a late fitness test and will be up for contention.
Kickoff time has been set at 4.15 pm EAT on Friday, April 12, 2019, at the Borg el Arab Stadium in Alexandria, Egypt.
