The Kenya U15 National team registered its third straight win, beating Kariobangi Sharks U15 3-1, as the FKF Elite Youth League entered its third round on Saturday, May 4, 2019.

Goals by Gil Harel, Joseph Munala and Rajab Umar saw the Junior Stars maintain their perfect record. Eric Juma scored Sharks’ consolation.

Diamond FC had earlier in the day left it late to edge out Acakoro 3-2.

Sarwari Habib was the first on the scoresheet for Diamond in the 19th minute, a goal that was canceled out by Joseph Ndichu from the spot only three minutes later.

Burges Yeshai then restored Diamond’s lead in the 28th minute for a 2-1 halftime lead.

Upon resumption, Acakoro upped the ante in search for an equalizer and they would get it in the 48th minute (Matches are played for 30 minutes per half). Diamond, however, left it late, getting their winning goal with only a minute left on the clock through James Irungu (59th minute).

Ligi Ndogo were also 2-0 winners over Mukuru Talent Academy. David Mukiama and Julian Kafafa were on target.

Kick it Kenya, meanwhile, ran over MYSA Talent Academy 5-3. Kenneth Kanyiri netted a hattrick for Kick it Kenya, with Kelvin Maina netting a brace. A brace by Bonaventure Magana and a goal by Eliud Wachira for MYSA were not enough to salvage a point for MYSA.

Six matches have been lined up in the U13 category on Sunday at the Farasi Lane starting 8 am, with the highlight being a match pitting Acakoro against Kariobangi Sharks.
