Wazito maintained their place at the top of the FKF National Super League following a 1-0 win over Thika United on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Camp Toyoyo.
Teddy Osok, recently called up to the National team for the upcoming Africa Nations Championships Qualifier against Burundi, struck the lone goal with a minute left on the clock. This after Thika had mounted a resolute defense, that finally caved in to pressure from the promotion candidates.
Wazito, following the win, pulled four points clear of second-placed Kisumu All-Stars, who faltered at the hands of Modern Coast Rangers. Nairobi Stima, meanwhile, is third while Ushuru closes the top four bracket with 66 points.
