The Kenya National football team, Harambee Stars, held its third training session this week, on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at the MISC Kasarani, as preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations hit top gear.
Thursday’s session saw coach Sébastien Migné take 23 players, most of whom were named in the provisional squad for the upcoming Africa Nations Championships Qualifier against Burundi, through their paces. Wazito midfielder Musa Masika, a late inclusion to the team, also took part.
Musa Mohammed, Masud Juma, and Cliffton Miheso, meanwhile, are among foreign-based players who were involved in the session, which is part of preparations for a scheduled three-week camp in France, a precursor to the Africa Cup of Nations, set to be held in Egypt in June.
The AFCON bound team is set to jet out to Paris, France, on May 31, 2019, and has already been booked at the French Rugby Federation, Marcoussis Cedex where they will hold a 19-day residential camp before flying out to Cairo Egypt, on June 19, 2019, in time for the continental showpiece.
Football Kenya Federation has also lined up two friendly matches, against Madagascar on June 7, in Paris and the Democratic Republic of Congo a week later, on June 15, 2019, in Madrid, Spain.
