FKF President Nick Mwendwa has rallied the Kenya National Team, Harambee Stars, to rise up to the occasion when the team comes up against Tanzania in their second 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Group C match.

Kenya fell 2-0 to Algeria in their first match played on Sunday and thus have all to play for in their two remaining matches if they are to make it to the second round.

“Of course we are not happy with our result against Algeria. We nonetheless cannot keep mourning about it. We have a chance to make amends against Tanzania and I am confident we will,” said FKF President Nick Mwendwa.

“Let’s show that we can fight. Let’s show that we can do something for the Kenyan flag and the result will find its way home,” he added.

The match is set to be played on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo, Egypt, starting 11 pm EAT.
