Kenya Women National team forward Mwanahalima Adam has revealed confidence in the Harambee Starlets camp ahead of their crucial Olympics Qualifier return match against Malawi

The Starlets sneaked two away goals out of their first-leg defeat in Blantyre and Dogo, as she is referred to in local football circles, believes the first leg outcome is a head start to a positive result on Sunday.

“It was tough playing away from home but we pushed ourselves and picked up something from the match,” said Mwanahalima.

“I am asking all our fans to stand with us as much as the match will be behind closed doors. It won’t be easy but we are motivated to get a win,” added the influential forward.

Assistant coach Jackeline Juma, meanwhile, reiterated the Technical Bench’s attacking strategy for the match, noting that the team is in a clean bill of health and ready for Sunday’s match.

“The two away goals are a motivation for us to win it here. We are looking forward to a win and I am confident we will get it”

The match is set to be played on Sunday, September 1, 2019, at the Machakos Stadium starting at 3 pm.

Should Starlets pass the Malawi test, they will have either of Ghana or Gabon in the third round of the qualifiers.
