The Kenya U20 National team is set to face Tanzania in the finals of the CECAFA U20 Championships scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2019.
This, following their win 1-0 over Eritrea in the semis played on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.
Coach Stanley Okumbi has pointed out his satisfaction in the Rising Stars performance especially in the knockout stages while tipping the stars to finish the job on Saturday.
“I must congratulate the boys for showing great character in all the matches we have played. The semifinal (against Eritrea) was specifically tougher but my players played their hearts out. I am pleased with our performance thus far,” said coach Stanley Okumbi.

“We have an even tougher challenge in the final and I am confident that if we give a good account of ourselves as we have done since the tournament started, we can take home a positive result,” he added.
The match is said to be played on Saturday at the FUFA Technical Center, Jinja, Uganda at 4 pm EAT.
Midfielders Musa Masika and Peter Oudu, meanwhile, are doubtful for the final, having picked up knocks in training.
