Zambia’s women national team has on Wednesday morning arrived in Nairobi from Lusaka in time for their upcoming Olympics Qualifier against Kenya’s Harambee Starlets.

The match, set to be played on Friday, November 8, 2019, at the MISC Kasarani, starting at 4 pm, will be crucial in determining who goes gains an advantage ahead of the second leg scheduled for Monday, November 11, 2019, in Lusaka.

Harambee Starlets have in the meantime been in camp since Thursday last week and will be looking forward to a positive result on Friday.

The winner of the tie on aggregate will go through to the final qualifying round, where either of Ivory Coast or Cameroon lies in wait. The final winner will gain automatic qualification to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, while the loser on aggregate will get a lifeline in a playoff against Chile, who came second in the South American Confederation’s (CONMEBOL) qualifying tournament.
