Harambee Starlets will face off with Uganda’s Crested Cranes in their final Group B match of the CECAFA Women Championships slated for Thursday, November 21, 2019, at the Azam Sports Complex in Chamazi, Tanzania, starting 4.30 pm.
The match determines who finishes top of Group B, with both sides each having six points from two matches played.
Coach David Ouma has expressed his satisfaction in the team’s performance, exuding confidence that his team can go all the way.
“I am happy with how the girls have pushed themselves in the two opening matches. We rested some players in the second match and I am confident that we have a fit and fresh squad for our match against Uganda,” said coach Ouma.
Starlets beat Djibouti 12-0 on Tuesday to book a place in the semifinals, this following an opening 2-0 win over Ethiopia on Sunday, November 17, 2019.
The semifinals have been scheduled for Saturday, November 23, while the third-place Playoff and final will be played on Monday, November 25, 2019.
