The Kenya U17 national girls team will be up against Djibouti in their opening match of the CECAFA U17 Girls Championships on Monday.
The team safely arrived in Jinja, Uganda on Sunday morning and is raring to go in the junior regional showpiece.
“We are ready to face any team. No team is weak here. All of us came here in Jinja to compete. It is a sign that we are ready. It will be better for Kenya to do the same performance like our sisters who won the CEACAFA Women Senior challenge cup in Dar es Salaam in November,” said coach Jackline Juma.
The match is set to be played on Monday, December 9,2019, at Jinja,Uganda 1:30 EAT
