Football Kenya Federation has on Thursday, July 16, 2020, announced online gaming firm BetKing Kenya as the official FKF Premier League title partner in a KES 1.2 Billion five-year deal.
The league will be referred to as the BetKing Premier League.
Under the partnership, each participating club will be entitled to at least KES 8 Million annually from the Federation.
“Our players and club officials have had it rough over the past few years because of an underfunded league,” said FKF President Nick Mwendwa
“I am happy today to announce BetKing Kenya as our title sponsor in the biggest deal in our history,” he added.
The partnership starts at KES 220 Million in the first year, and increments by 5% in the second year, and 10% in the subsequent years.
“We will also commit KES 10 Million of the License fees paid by our partners to the Kenya Women Premier League,” added the president.
The official unveiling of the partner, as well as the league logo, will be done in September.
