Soy United left it late to knock out MCF in post-match penalties, thereby booking a place in the second tier Betika National Super League, in the Division One League promotion playoff played on Sunday, November 1, 2020, at the Utalii Grounds in Nairobi. The match had ended 1-1 in regulation time.

After a cagey first half, Lwamba Bebeto got MCF on the front foot with a 65th-minute goal.

Soy United would then pull one back in the 77th minute via Timothy Muganda for a 1-1 scoreline.
