Football Kenya Federation is in mourning of the untimely death of Kenya’s former soccer chief  Mohammed Hatimy.

On behalf of the federation, FKF President Nick Mwendwa paid tribute to Hatimy as an astute leader and conveyed a message of condolences to the family, friends, and soccer fraternity following the passing on of the administrator.

“It is with great sadness that I am compelled to deliver this message of condolence and tribute to a great man who promoted football in Kenya as an administrator,” read part of the message.

“On behalf of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), convey our deep sorrow, sympathy, and heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and football fraternity for losing this great soccer leader,” condoled Mwendwa.

Hatimy passed on at around 3 am in the wee hours of Saturday morning at a Mombasa Hospital.
