The Kenya U20 National team has on Monday, November 30, 2020, bowed out of the race for a slot in the U20 Africa Cup of Nations after they lost 1-3 in their CECAFA U20 championships semifinal match against Uganda.
Enoch Wanyama’s lone goal at the 81st minute earned Kenya’s its only goal, however, Uganda had maneuvered past our defense two back to back goals by Kenneth Semakula and Ivan Bogere at the 21st and 25th minute.
Ivan Bogere doubled the scores for Uganda with a well-executed goal from the penalty area at the 64th minute stomping on Kenya’s chance to head for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Mauritania.
Rising Stars will now fight for the third position in the regional showpiece in their game against either Tanzania or South Sudan whose semi-final match will kick off at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, December 2, 2020.
