Football Kenya Federation has moved to omit Ushuru from the FKF National Super League schedule, and promoted Mully Children Family (MCF) FC in its place.
This follows Ushuru’s inability to register its players by the November 9, 2020 deadline.
Upon submission of Ushuru’s case to the FKF Leagues and Competitions committee for deliberation, it was determined that the club will not participate in the 2020/21 season.
“In this regard, we wish to inform you that the Leagues and competitions committee, in a meeting held on Monday, December 14, 2020, at the FKF Headquarters, unanimously made the following resolutions;
1. THAT with the registration window closed for ALL National leagues, no extension shall be granted to Ushuru FC to register players for the new season.
2. THAT Ushuru FC be omitted from the fixture schedule for the 2020/2021 League Season owing to the fact that they do not have a team to participate in the League.
3. THAT by sporting merit, MCF FC is promoted to the Betika National Super League to replace Ushuru FC in the fixtures for the 2020/2021 League Season,” read a letter sent to Ushuru’s Chief Executive Officer, signed by FKF General Secretary/CEO Barry Otieno.
The league enters round two on Saturday, December 19, 2020, with 10 matches lined up
