Thika Queens kicked off the FKF Women Premier League second leg with a 2-0 win over Ulinzi Starlets in the round 8 fixture played on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Thika Stadium.

A cagey first half was witnessed as both teams’ attempts to see the back of the net fell naught, closing the scores in a goalless draw.

After the breather, the host marked their dominance following Mwanahalima Adam’s goal in the 53rd minute. Her counterpart Catherine Githae shot past Ulinzi Starlet’s defense to net a goal in the 61st minute. The sound of the whistle sealed the scores at 2-0.

Kibera Soccer Ladies, meanwhile, reversed a 1-1 draw with Makolanders in the first leg when they outplayed Makolanders 3-0 at the Ligi Ndogo grounds. A brace from Laventine Lihemo in the 2nd and 30th minute closed off the scores at 2-0 in the first half.

Upon resumption, Cynthia Atieno followed through with her goal in the 59th minute, sealing the scores at 3-0.

In zone B, Nakuru West Queens was held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Oserian Ladies at the Nakuru Showgrounds.
