FC Talanta suffered a dent in their mission to regain the top of the league status following a 1-0 loss at the hands of Shabana in the Betika National Super League round 15 fixtures played on Saturday, March 13, 2021.
Hillary Mukanzi gave Shabana the lead in the 15th minute applying pressure on the hosts to equalize the goal, however, their efforts fell naught with the first half ending 1-0 in favor of Shabana.
Upon resumption, Shabana held on to their lead despite Talanta’s several attempts to even off the scores. The final whistle sealed the scores at 2-0 leaving FC Talanta’s dreams to regain the top of the league status yet to be actualized
Meanwhile, at the Bukhungu Stadium, Godfrey Airo scored the winning goal for Vihiga Bullets that saw them rise to position five from position 9 with 23 points.
