Harambee Stars has picked up three points against Togo on Monday, March 29, 2021, after edging them 2-1 at the Stade de Kégué in Lome, Togo.

Kenya got the lead through Cliffton Miheso’s assist to Abdallah Hassan who scored a goal in the 32nd minute.

The sound of the halftime whistle saw Harambee Stars head to the locker room with a 1-0 advantage.

After the intermission, both coaches brought in a pair of fresh legs with coach Claude Le Roy doing a double change for Togo in the 46th minute while Coach Mulee brought in Cliff Nyakeya to replace Kevin Kimani in the 53rd minute.

A dangerous attack by Togo’s defender that saw Abdalla Hassan fall in the penalty area cost them as Harambee Stars team Captain Masud Juma took the penalty bagging the second goal for Kenya in the 65th minute.

Henri Eninful took advantage of the penalty handed four minutes past stoppage time scoring the consolation goal for Togo.

Harambee Stars finish at position three with seven points in Group G and now shift their focus to the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June.
