Plans are underway for the start of the third-tier Nairobi Women Regional League, scheduled to kick off on June 6, 2021, at the Ligi Ndogo Grounds, following a planning meeting that brought together officials from the Nairobi East and Nairobi West County Branches.

The league, to be coordinated by the Branch Women Representatives, will pit 12 teams divided into two zones.

Among clubs that have expressed interest in participating in the Nairobi West Zone include Ruaraka Girls Academy, Ruai Queens, Mrembo, KU Desert Roses, Kariobangi Sport, and Dad Star. Nairobi West, in the meantime, has Uweza Women, City Queens, Kibera Queens, Beijing Raiders, Lexus Ladies, and McMillan Ladies in its ranks.

Club officials have been invited for a planning meeting this Friday, May 28, 2021, at FKF House, Goal Project, ahead of the anticipated league kickoff.

The overall winner of the league is guaranteed promotion to the second-tier Women Division One League.
