Football Kenya Federation President Nick Mwendwa has presided over the opening ceremony of a CAF C License coaching course at the Kenya School of Special Education (KISE) in Kasarani.
The course, which is concurrently being run in Mombasa, is under the tutelage of Leonard Odipo and Leonard Saleh in Nairobi and Twahhir Muhiddin and Jones Kyallo in Mombasa.
During the opening ceremony on Monday, FKF President Nick Mwendwa gave an insight on the impact of capacity building of our coaches in improving the standards of Kenyan football.
“This is our 12th CAF C license coaching course and I admire the dedication of these coaches who aim to instill proper knowledge to our young players,” said FKF President Nick Mwendwa.
“Through this, we will be able to have a pool of well-trained players in our leagues and the National team and in the long run will help raise the standard of football in the country,” he added.
60 participants are set to benefit from the training that will run until Friday, July 30, 2021. Among the participants is former Kenyan International Osborne Monday, former Harambee Starlets players Cheris Avilia and Ann Aluoch, George Kangi Mwangi, Andrew Ongwae, Vincent Nyaberi, among others.
