Nairobi Stima had a bad day in office after suffering a 2-1 loss at the hands of visiting Migori Youth in their Betika National Super League round 30 fixture on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Camp Toyoyo.
Fabish Otieno almost nicked the lead for Nairobi Stima in the 4th minute but his attempt hit the post sending the ball outside for a goal kick.
In the 11th minute, Migori Youth’s Peter Oyier stopped a potential attack when he dispossessed Nairobi Stima’s, Semo Samuel.
Migori Youth got the lead through Ben Stanley who received a long shot pass from team captain Clifford Otieno into the area in the 17th minute.
Dickson Raila gave Migori youth their second goal after he sent the ball to the back of the net with his powerful kick, in the 35th minute. This closed the first half scores at 2-0.
After the breather, Dickson Raila almost bagged the third goal for Migori Youth in the 49th minute after skilling past Nairobi Stima’s defense. This forced Nairobi Stima’s goalkeeper Dolph Owino to dive for a save.
In the 55th minute, Migori Youth’s Clifford Otieno hit the ball from long range that landed right at the goalkeeper’s hands.
Two minutes later, Nairobi Stima’s Tevin Opondo received the ball in the area but failed to convert maintaining the scores at 2-0.
Four minutes past stoppage time saw John Njoroge awarded a penalty that saw Nairobi Stima pull one back before the full-time whistle sealed the scores at 2-1.
