KCB collected maximum points after a 3-0 win against Kariobangi Sharks in their BetKing Premier League round 28 fixture played on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Thika Stadium, in a bid to keep league title hope alive.
In the 6th minute, KCB opened the scores through Michael Oduor’s pass to Samuel Mwangi in the area who tapped it home from close range.
Curtis Wekesa dribbled the ball past Kariobangi Sharks’ defense and passed it to David Simiyu in an attempt to clinch the second goal for KCB in the 20th minute, but the ball went wide.
Seven minutes later, Kariobangi Sharks almost nicked the equalizer through Erick Kapaito who sent off the ball to Shaphan Oyugi who went for goal but it was saved by Joseph Ochuka
After the breather, Kariobangi Sharks Kuol Chuol fouled Henry Onyango in the 50th minute granting KCB a penalty, which was converted by Eric Badi in the 50th minute.
In the 58th minute, David Simiyu steered a counter-attack making an accurate delivery into the area that found Michael Oduor who made the shot bagging the third goal for KCB.
Kariobangi Sharks made attempts to pull one back but the full-time whistle sealed the scores at 3-0.
