Kenya Police held Vihiga United to a 1-1 draw in their FKF PL/NSL promotion/ relegation playoff first leg match played on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at the Mumias Sport Complex.
Clinton Kinanga slid to tap in the ball to the back of the net opening the scores for Kenya Police in the 9th minute after he received a timely cross into the area.
In the 25th minute, however, Vihiga United equalized the scores through Lesley Otieno’s goal, sealing the halftime scores at 1-1.
After the breather, both teams tried to break the stalemate but their efforts fell naught sealing the full-time scores at 1-1.
Kenya Police will host Vihiga United at the Ruaraka Grounds on Sunday, September 19, 2021, in the second leg match of the FKF PL/NSL playoffs that will determine which team will be promoted and relegated.
