Football Kenya Federation Deputy President Doris Petra has today, Monday, September 13, 2021, graced the opening ceremony of yet another CAF C Coaching course in Kisumu.

Among the participants in the course are former Harambee Stars, Nairobi City Stars, Bandari, and Sony Sugar defender Noah Abich, who has called on former players to take an active role in the game.

“I call upon them to take up these opportunities (coaching courses and football management). They can be better motivators to our upcoming players who watched them play,” said the dead-ball specialist.

“Personally, I want to positively impact young players through the skills and methodologies I hope to gain from this course. I am passionate about football and would like to see better players come up to fill my shoes,”

I am confident that at the end of this, I’ll be a better coach,” he added. Abich is currently attached to FKF Premier League side Nairobi City Stars as the Team Manager.

While officially getting the course underway, FKF Deputy President Doris Petra reiterated the Federation’s commitment to making coaching education accessible countrywide, in a move aimed at ensuring that players at the grass root and senior-level are handled by qualified personnel.
