Football Kenya Federation, in its effort to enhance and ensure professionalism and competence in their leagues, has put in place the below-listed measures and certification requirements, for all personnel in the technical bench of teams participating in the FKF PL, NSL, WPL, DIV 1, WD1 and DIV 2.

1. For the 2021/2022 season, all coaches (Head Coach and assistants) participating in the FKF Premier League, Women Premier League, National Super League, and Division 1 are required to be licensed and have attained at least, a CAF C License Diploma.

2. For those coming from sister confederations, they will be required to at least have attained a recognized A license.

3. That all goalkeeper coaches participating in the FKF Premier League, Women Premier League, National Super League, and Division One are also required to at least have attained a FKF D License Diploma.

4. That all the team doctors and physiotherapists must send their CV’S to our technical department for accreditation and licensing, to be allowed to practice and be part of the team’s technical bench.

5. That all coaches (Head Coach and assistants) participating in the FKF WD1, FKF Division 2 league must at least attain a FKF D Licence Diploma.

6. That no technical bench member, as stated above, will be allowed in the technical area, without the above stated qualifications and the mandatory FKF Accreditation License card.

7. That only the head coach or the assistant coach will be allowed to issue instructions on the technical area at any given time during official FKF Competitions.

8. In case of a suspension or absence of the head coach, the assistant coach will be allowed to assume the role.

9. That coaches understand the value of coaching licenses and its validity of three (3) years, with a mandatory renewal after satisfactorily attending a three (3) day FKF refresher course at a cost of Kes. 5000, which is applicable to the coaches who haven’t upgraded to the next level. All coaches at all levels in Kenya and are Kenyan citizens, are required to pay a non-refundable amount of Kes 500,  to be issued with a coaching licence card, depending on their level of certification.

10. For foreign coaches to be accredited, they will have to present their curriculum vitae with a non-refundble fee of Kes 100,000 for clearance.

11. Based on the coaching license, the federation will monitor and evaluate its coaches on the quality of football at all levels of play and will be at hand to organize coaching courses and “special topic” refresher courses, in order to enhance their capacity and update themselves with the modern trends.
