The young team today had a friendly match against FKF Women Premier League side Zetech Sparks edging them 1-0, at the Camp Toyoyo grounds.
After the friendly match, Coach Okere commented on how they regrouped as a team after the Uganda match last week.
“After the game, we started to work on the areas that we did not do well. We have also worked on what we did well to make our gameplay even better,” said Coach Okere.
“It’s a tough assignment but not impossible. This is a resilient team and based on the friendly match we have played today, the girls have shown a great display of character, and I believe we are ready for Uganda,” he continued.
Rising Starlets will leave for Uganda on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, to prepare sufficiently for their match against Crested Cranes on Friday, October 8, 2021.
