40 grassroot coaches will benefit from a CAF D coaching course by Football Kenya Federation in collaboration with Buruburu Sports Academy. FKF Nairobi East Secretary-General Dickson Doyo presided over the opening ceremony on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

They are under the tutelage of FIFA/FKF instructors George Mwangi and Zedekiah Otieno who will teach them the basics of coaching and essential life skills. Afterwhich, they will use the acquired knowledge and skills to nurture their players who are in the grassroot.

During the opening ceremony, FKF Nairobi East Secretary-General Dickson Doyo shared his thoughts on how these coaching courses have brought a change to football in the country.

“With these coaching courses, we have been able to see a positive change in the skills showcased by the players in the grassroot level. This steady improvement in the quality of football is what we as a Federation are aiming to achieve in the long term,” said Mr. Doyo.

40 coaches more coaches will also benefit from a 10-day CAF D coaching course held at MYSA. FKF General Secretary/CEO Barry Otieno and FKF Nairobi East County Branch Sec. General Dickson Doyo presided over the opening ceremony yesterday, on Monday, November 22, 2021.

Capacity building of coaches is one of the Federation’s key pillars, in which, the coaches gain proper knowledge and skills which they transfer to the young players who will grow in their football careers with the acquired skills and knowledge and in the long run, raise the standards of football in the country.
