40 grassroot coaches were on Friday, November 26, 2021, certified after successfully completing a ten-day CAF D coaching course in Buru Buru. FKF Nairobi East Secretary-General Dickson Doyo presided over the closing ceremony.
The course that began on Monday, November 15, 2021, was an initiative by Football Kenya Federation and Buru Buru Soccer Academy.
FIFA/FKF instructors George Mwangi and Zedekiah Otieno were the tutors in the class and they equipped them with knowledge and skills that will be transferred to the grassroot players in a bid of attaining the Federation’s goal of nurturing quality players from the grassroot to the topmost level.
During the closing ceremony, FKF Nairobi East Secretary-General Dickson Doyo wished the coaches well in their coaching journey.
“Today, you have been certified with CAF D certificates and I believe that the skills and knowledge you have acquired here, will be present in the teams that you are training in the grassroot,” said Mr. Doyo.
He continued to say, “Having acquired this certificate, I hope this is not the end for you in that you will continue being hungry for knowledge and advance in your coaching careers.”
Meanwhile, at MYSA, 40 more coaches are also undergoing a 10-day CAF D Coaching course and will culminate on Friday, December 3, 2021.
