KCB has edged past Kenya Police 1-0 in their FKF Premier League round 1 action played on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at the MISC Kasarani Annex.
In the 19th minute, KCB’s goalkeeper Gabriel Andika dominated the pen area after nipping a dangerous attack from opponents Kenya Police.
Henry Onyango, in the 21st minute, dribbled past the Kenya Police defense to open the scores for KCB but the ball bounced off the post and out of play. He tried again nine minutes later, but his attack was kicked out of play by the Kenya Police defense.
Clifton Miheso’s attempt to bag one for Kenya Police through a free-kick went wide, maintaining the scores at 0-0.
KCB’s Michael Oduor scored the leading goal after he found the bottom right of the goalkeeper with a low shot in the 43rd minute. This sealed the half-time scores at 1-0.
After the breather, Kenya Police was highly after an equalizer, however, KCB’s defense proved impermeable and the game ended 1-0 in favor of KCB.
Meanwhile, at MISC Kasarani, Talanta was held to a 2-2 draw by Kariobangi Sharks. Bidco United mastered a 2-0 win against their rivals Nairobi City Stars. At the Mbaraki grounds, host team Bandari beat Sofapaka 2-1.
