The Football Kenya Federation met with officials from clubs taking part in the top tier FKF Women Premier League (WPL) ahead of the kick-off of the 2022/23 season.

FKF General Secretary/CEO Barry Otieno, and Head of Leagues and Competitions Doreen Nabwire were present at the meeting. They briefed club officials on the preparations for the start of the WPL  in December 2022.

The officials were implored to formalize all their transfers on the Kenya Connect Player Registration System, in line with the World Governing Body FIFA’s requirements on player transfers before the registration deadline on Friday, December 2, 2022.

Notably, the club officials were urged to ensure the integrity of the game, this will help attract sponsors for the league. This includes resisting match manipulation attempts and reporting any suspected incidents to the Federation’s Integrity Department for investigation and disciplinary action.

The 2022/23 season is expected to kick off on Saturday, December 3, 2022, with six matches lined up across different venues.
