Ulinzi Starlets has bagged their first win of the season after beating Trans Nzoia Falcons 4-0 in the FKF Women Premier League round 4 fixtures played on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.
In the 15th minute, Ulinzi Starlets were awarded a corner kick taken by Siliya Rasoha. The ball went wide maintaining the scores at 0-0.
Four minutes later, Mercy Airo crossed the ball to meet Siliya Rasoha in the penalty area, her attempt at goal, however, missed the target.
In the 20th minute, Siliya Rasoha went for a goal again but her effort bore no fruit. Elizabeth Nafula and Leah Wanyama passed the ball to each other in a bid to create a chance that would put Trans Nzoia Falcons in the lead, however, the ball was stopped in its tracks by the Ulinzi Starlets’ defense.
Joy Kinglady evaded her marker and made a cross to Siliya Rasoha in the penalty area who bagged the opening goal of the match in the 29th minute.
Before the game settled, Ulinzi Starlets’ Lucy Nato netted the second goal in the 33rd minute. This closed the halftime scores at 2-0 in favor of Ulinzi Starlets.
After the breather, Siliya Rasoha got her brace in the 58th minute, leading the scoreline to read 3-0.
The 76th minute saw Mercy Airo run past the Trans Nzoia Falcons defenders from the mid area to have an attempt at a goal that was saved by Trans Nzoia Falcons goalkeeper Phyllis Chemtai.
Neddy Akoth got the fourth goal for Ulinzi Starlets in the 92nd minute. This sealed the scores at 4-0.
On Sunday, Zetech Sparks beat Wadadia 3-0 in their FKF Women Premier League Round 2 fixture played at GEMS Cambridge.
Momaliza Amango, Violet Otieno and Yvonne Khavere netted in their goals in the 4th, 73rd and 78 th minute to earnĀ Zetech Sparks their first win of the season.
Meanwhile at the Moi Stadium, Ruth Chebungei’s lone goal in the 20th minute gave Nakuru City Queens a 1-0 win against hosts Kisumu All Starlets
