Wazito came from behind to beat Vihiga Bullets 3-1 in a rescheduled FKF Premier League match played on Wednesday, January 11, 2022, at the Bukhungu Stadium.
Mathare United also picked up a point for the first time this season in a 1-1 draw against Posta Rangers.
In Kakamega, Vihiga Bullets were the first to score through Vincent Agola in the fourth minute. Abubakar Eneji restored parity two minutes before the break for a 1-1 halftime score.
In the second half Hillary Otieno and Cliffe Oruko each hit the back of the net in the 47th and 84th minute respectively to secure Wazito’s first win of the season.
Wazito now lies 14th on the log with four points from their opening four matches while Vihiga Bullets is 16th with three points.
At the Kasarani Annex, in the meantime, Posta Rangers failed to find a way past Mathare United. Cavin Odongo had given Posta a head start with a goal in the 39th minute but Chis Opondo equalized in the 65th minute to deny the hosts full advantage.
Nine more matches have been scheduled this weekend as the league enters Round 9.
