Mathare United stunned Gor Mahia with a 2-1 win on Wednesday’s FKF Premier League midweek action.

The win boosts Mathare’s survival hopes and stops Gor from consolidating their position at the top of the table.

Douglas Koech hit the back of the net in the 7th minute to give the Slum Boys the lead.

Omala evened the scores in the second half. However, Daniel Otieno secured the win for Mathare United in the 82nd minute.

This is Gor Mahia’s second loss in the league.

The loss leaves Gor Mahia on 37 points, 4 points ahead of Nzoia Sugar.

Kariobangi Sharks maintained their winning form, beating Wazito FC at the Muhoroni Stadium.

Paul Okoth opened the scoring for Kariobangi Sharks in the 18th minute, however, three minutes later, his mishap brought Wazito back into the game.

Fortune Omoto regained the lead in the 24th minute and Paul Okoth sealed the win with his brace in the second half.

FC Talanta sealed their midweek action with a 2-1 victory against Vihiga Bullets.
