Several Premier League teams found the going tough in their Mozzart Bet Cup action over the weekend.

Bidco and Kakamega Homeboyz both had to rely on penalties to get over the line against lower-league opposition.

Lions FC of Kericho twice took the lead against Bidco before the Premier League team prevailed on penalties.

Kakamega Homeboyz also found it hard to get a result against Shalimar of Nakuru who play 4 divisions below in the County league.

At Kajiado, Ulinzi Coach Bernard Mwalala said he did not recognize his own players after they were thoroughly outplayed by Kajiado FC in the first half of their game.

His side recovered their composure to score twice in the second half.

“This is what the Cup is about, it’s dangerous. ”

Kajiado FC coach Martin Mutembei said his players gave it all but their lack of experience counted against them in the end

Kibera Soccer Coach David Bujego echoed the same thought.

“My players put in a wonderful effort. We gave Gor Mahia a good game but we failed to take our chances and now we are out. But we have tested ourselves with a big team which is why we signed up. And we have learned. ”
