The FKF Women’s Cup round of 32 saw 10 clubs clinch their spots in the round of 16 in a day of intense competition and thrilling football.

The round kicked off with a tightly contested match between two FKF Women Division One teams, Kangemi Ladies and Soccer Sisters. The game ended 1-1 in regulation with Soccer Sisters prevailing 4-3 in post-match penalties.

But the drama didn’t end there. In another closely fought encounter, Kayole Starlet faced off against FKF Women Division One Side, Falling Waters Barcelona FC. Kayole Starlet were two goals down in the first half and then conceded another two goals at the beginning of the second half to put them down 4-0 down.

This, however, did not waver Kayole Starlet who made a comeback, scoring three goals in a span 0f 14 minutes. And just when It looked like Kayole Starlet would force a draw, and penalties, Falling Waters forward Jane Njeri scored the 5th goal in the 86th minute, to break Kayole Starlet’s hearts.

Elsewhere Ulinzi Starlets faced a determined Gusii Starlets who were determined to pull off an upset. But Ulinzi scored first and held on to book their place in the round of 16.

The action continued with other exciting matchups, that saw Eldoret Falcons, Mombasa Olympic, Nakuru City Queens, Royal Starlets, Kisped Queens, Fortune Ladies, and Kibera Soccer Ladies seal their spots in the round of 16.

Six more spots are up for grabs on Sunday.
