Tusker Head Coach Robert Matano has said he is only thinking about his team as the title race moves into the final stretch.
“We are not thinking about Gor Mahia at all. We are focused on ourselves and winning our matches.”
Matano was speaking after the Brewers dispatched Mathare 2-0 at Ruaraka.
Roger Ouma scored a spectacular brace of volleys in the second half, six minutes apart, to seal Tusker’s fourth win in a row.
At Mbaraki grounds in Mombasa, Benson Omalla scored two for Gor Mahia to secure a precious away win against Bandari. Andrew Juma pulled one back in the 64th minute but the comeback never materialized for the port masters.
At the Police Sacco Stadium, Kenya Police beat Nairobi City Stars 4-2 in an entertaining fixture.
Elvis Rupia bagged a brace, with Derrick Otanga, and Cliffton Miheso also adding to the scoresheet.
Vincent Owino and Ezekiel Odera netted the two goals for Nairobi City Stars.
