The FKF Women’s Cup doubleheader held on May 31st, 2023, at RVIST Nakuru provided excitement for the fans. Ulinzi Starlets and Nakuru City Queens emerged victorious and earned their tickets to the final.

In the first semifinal, Nakuru City Queens delighted their home fans by securing a place in the finals. They overcame a resilient Kibera Soccer Ladies with a 3-2 victory. Nakuru City Queens took an early lead in the second minute through Mulindi Melon. However, Nancy Atako leveled the scoreline for Kibera Soccer Ladies at the end of the first half.

In the second half, Nakuru City Queens extended their lead with goals from Muteshi Elizabeth and Salano Jael. Nancy scored her second goal of the game for Kibera Soccer Ladies in the 80th minute, but Nakuru Queens held on to secure the win.

In the second semifinal, defending champions Ulinzi Starlets secured a 3-0 victory. Ulinzi showcased their intentions early in the game when Fasila Adhiambo found the back of the net in the 3rd and 14th minutes. Mary Ojenge scored in the 93rd minute to solidify her team’s place in the final.

While Ulinzi Starlets and Nakuru City Queens prepare to battle it out for the trophy, Kisumu All Starlets and Kibera Soccer Ladies will compete in the 3rd place playoff match.

The FKF Women’s Cup final will take place on Sunday, June 4th, 2023.
