Junior Starlets coach Beldine Odemba names her provisional squad for the upcoming women’s CECAFA U18 Championships that kicks off on Saturday, June 24, 2023, in Nairobi.
This being a home tournament, the team will be working hard to put on a good showing and make the home advantage count.
The squad features a blend of girls from schools from all around the country and select Women’s League teams.
“We are excited about the upcoming CECAFA U18 championships as this provides a great opportunity for our young talents to get exposure on an international stage,” said coach Beldine Odemba.
FKF Women Premier League sides, Ulinzi Starlets and Zetech Sparks have brought in seasoned talents Fasila Adhiambo and Ivy Chepkirui.
FKF Division One side, Soccer Assassins FC’s Rebecca Kwoba also makes the squad.
The team will report to camp on Thursday, June 8, 2023.
