Kenya Police Bullets secured a 5-2 win against Bungoma Queens on Saturday 14, 2023 at Police Sacco stadium.
First goal came in the 2nd minute via a Puren Arukwe strike however Bungoma got an equalizer swiftly following a bullets own goal. Lucy Kwekee came close to doubling the lead and Bungoma Queens found the net but the goal was ruled for offside. Both teams continued to threaten however police regained the lead when Puren scored her second of the match. Winnie Gwatenda stretched Bullets lead taking it into the halftime break.
The second half witnessed Bullets score two more goals from Lucy Kwekwe and Puren Arukwe who completed her hattrick. Bungoma managed to get another goal through Eunice Alivitsa and the match ended 5-2.
In the early kick off match, Ulinzi Starlets picked their first three points after beating Wadadia 3-0. Goals from Lucy Nato, Neddy Akoth and Lavender Akinyi were the difference.
In Ruiru, Nakuru City Queens earned a 2-1 win against hosts Zetech Sparks. Zetech took the lead in the 41st through Sherril Chaviha from a Beverline Adika assist. First half ended 1-0 in favor of the home team.
Second half however witnessed Nakuru City Queens make a comeback with their breakthrough coming in the 61st minute by a Wanjala Lenah goal and swiftly 3 minutes after, Wafula Merceline stretched the visitors lead.
