Coaches enrolled in the CAF A coaching course have delved into a two-week football science module, that commenced from Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Kenya Institute of Special Education.
CAF A integrates football science into its coursework. So far, various industry professionals have had a chance to share with the class their expertise on crucial aspects, including physiology, human anatomy, fitness, nutrition, and periodization.
Recognizing the role football science plays in the modernization of the sport and the optimization of player and team performance, CAF A places an emphasis on equipping coaches with this knowledge.
By integrating physiological, psychological, and tactical elements, the approach aims to streamline player development, mitigate injury risks, and elevate overall team performance.
Understanding these elements of football science is crucial for coaches, as they directly influence the design, location, method, and content of training sessions. Coaches need to embrace approach to enhance their ability to guide and manage their teams effectively.
CAF A commenced on Monday, October 16, 2023 and is expected to end on Friday, March 29, 2024 and has been under the tutelage of coaches Francis Kimanzi and Salim Ali.
