Harambee Stars dominated Malawi 4-0 in their opening match of the Four Nations Tournament played on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe, Malawi.
Captain Michael Olunga wasted no time capitalizing on Daniel Anyembe’s cross in the 1st minute. He made his brace through a penalty in the 5th minute.
In the second half, Ayub Timbe netted the third goal in the 83rd minute, and 3 minutes deep into extra time, John Avire sealed the deal with the fourth goal for Harambee Stars.
Up next, Harambee Stars will play in the finals against Zimbabwe while Malawi will face Zambia for bronze.
