Kenya National U-20 Boys team, Rising Stars, placed second in the four nations tournament following a 3-1 loss to hosts Malawi on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Silver Stadium.

The hosts secured two first half goals putting Rising Stars on the backfoot. However, Dalphene Ezekiah’s introduction from the bench in the second half proved to be a pivotal moment as it resulted in an almost immediate response as he scored a crucial goal, narrowing the deficit to just one goal.

With renewed vigor, Rising Stars pressed forward in search of an equalizer. However, in the dying moments of the match, Malawi capitalized on a late opportunity, securing a third goal and ultimately sealing their victory.

Rising Stars is envisioned to be a conveyor belt of talent to the senior teams and this tournament allowed them a chance to not only showcase their potential but also prepare for more international assignments this year.
